Huge thanks to lady volunteers from Athlone and Longford who has sawn over 300 cloth masks so far as part of our 'Face masks for Ireland' initiative. Sincere thanks particularly to Magda Podsiadły, who initiated whole movement but also thanks to Kasia Pasik and Kasia Sochacka. 300 masks were donated to few places in Athlone already. Another 50 will be delivered to the nursing home in Ballymahon, 40 to Lanesboro and 30 will be given to the Public Health Nurses in Athlone. Thank you to all who greatly supported our crowd funding initiative on iFundraise and also to all members of our support subgroup, part of Midlands Polish Community.
In response to Peggy Nolan's appeal we donated 90 cloth masks to Public Health Nurses in Longford. Those were handmade by our fantastic volunteers from Midlands as part of our 'Face masks for Ireland' initiative:

Overall Midlands Polish Community donated over 500 cloth masks to different public health instututions, nursing homes and day care centres in Midlands.

Face masks made by our volunteers Magda, Kasia & Katarzyna were donated further to beneficiaries in Midlands: Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, St Martha's Hostel, Public Health Nurses Moate, Ballymahon Day Care Centre. Already over 1,000 masks were donated to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities. Last days of April were very busy for our support subgroup and volunteers sewing and delivering face masks. Masks were delivered to Athlone post office AnPost, Public Heath Nurses in Monksland, Meals on Wheels Longford, Ballymahon Day Care Centre, Order of Malta Athlone, Longford LCRL, Public Heath Nurses in Moate and to few nursing homes in the region. Well done everyone involved!

Our community support subgroup 'Helpful Hand' together with volunteers who are sewing cloth face masks 'didn't take the foot from the pedal' lately. Face masks were delivered to: An Post offices in Athlone, Longford, Mullingar; St Hilda's Athlone, East Galway & Midlands Cancer Support, Midlands Simon Community, Meals on Wheels in Longford, Athlone, Mullingar; Ballinalee Health Centre. Batch for Offaly Domestic Violence Support Services are being prepared. First scrubs were distributed in Longford. We are very happy that we can show solidarity and support the communities where we live together.

Another busy week for our community support subgroup 'Helpful Hand' and volunteers who are sewing face masks and scrubs. We supported Meals on Wheels Longford & Athlone, LCRL - Longford Community Resources clg, Mullingar laboratory, An Post Longford and few more places 😄
We also sincerely thank to Longford Volunteer Centre for supporting our initiative and help with promotion. Thanks to you, few more volunteers have joined our team which would be a fantastic help with dealing with current demand that exceeded our expectations. Thank you also for donating masks' covers which are extremely helpful during long work shifts - in the first place they were delivered to the Laurel Lodge Nursing Home in Longford and The Alzheimer Society Longford.
In reply to current safety guidelines issued by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, we would like to inform that all face cloth masks produced as part of our 'Face Masks & Scrubs for Ireland' initiative are so called 'barrier masks', hand made and we donate them to different institutions and organisations free of charge.
